School of Distance Education - Bharathiar University
Bharathiar University School of Distance Education was founded during the 1991-1992 academic year. The school has limited their work to an obvious reason for strengthening the foundations of good education. Once it became clear that the goal, the school has begun to expand their business by identifying and approving research centres across the country, higher gross enrollment and higher levels of literacy.
The SDE (School of Distance Education) currently has two hundred and two centres in twenty three countries and research centers cum spot admission and the number is growing steadily as more and more have shown interest in setting up research
centres.
The SDE (School of Distance Education) recognizes the candidates directly and leads to personal contact programs for certain Personal Contact Programs (PCP) centers in Coimbatore. Study centres cum spot admission centers register candidates and conduct personal contact programs in their centers or in designated regional centers. The study materials in the prescribed form of Distance Education Council (DEC) are ready, students supplemented by compact discs trouble free anywhere, without the burden that educational materials available.
