Bharathiar University
The Bharathiar University is a Post-Graduate university in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The university is located at the foot of the Marudamalai Street, Coimbatore, and the appropriate areas in Coimbatore, Nilgiris and the Erode. The University has twenty nine colleges of education, eighty arts and science colleges, 8 management institutions, 1 college of physical education and 1 Air Force administration college.
History
In Bharathiar University was founded in Coimbatore by the Tamil Nadu Government in Feb, 1982 with the Bharathiar
University Act, 1981. PG Center of the Madras University, working in Coimbatore for 1982 is the core of the BU. The University was recognized by the UGC in May, 1985.
University after the great indian national poet Subramania Bharathi is defined name under the motto "Learn Elevate". The university will use every effort to make the dream of its educational institutes as temple of stydying. This is the purpose of the university the work of the prints knowledge required for participation and creative skills to attitudes & values among young people of the nation to more effectively contribute to a just economic and social & secular ideals of our indian nation to create.

Examinations
At the end of each semester the university regularly for UG, PG and M.Phil inspected. The candidates won 75% presence of the semester will appear before the school level. In order to receive a pass, students must ensure that at least 50% test marks or PG and M.Phil. Test and 40% as UG programs. There was a double on all programs and M.Phil PG If the value of the difference between the first and the second is the analysis of more than 14, then the paper indicated 3rd examiner.The Exam wing is fully automated for privacy and high service.
Library
The University was established in 1981, Madras University Autonomous University Extension Center is a place 11,750 sq.feet.The seating currently has about 300 and has more than 1,20,000 number will be ordered on all 163 national and international newspapers and 7 leading newspapers subscribes the library. 150 sheets of the journal are accepted free. Back issues of magazines in May 1880 year, Photo copying facilities are also available in the library.
The SDE (School of Distance Education) recognizes the candidates directly and leads to personal contact programs for certain Personal Contact Programs (PCP) centers in Coimbatore.
